The information you will be required to submit is similar to that required on previous entry forms.

You may add, delete and change images to your entry at any time up until you pay for the entry, when it becomes Complete.

You will pay for your entry by credit or debit card or by PayPal account using our secure checkout system. Once your entry is submitted and paid for, you may log back in to review your entry and to edit artist and image information; however you will not be able to delete or substitute images.

  • The entry application and payment will serve as the entrant's agreement to all conditions (including the Waiver) set forth in the prospectus. Entries will be disqualified for failure to follow these instructions.
  • Submitting works of art is no guarantee that the applicant will be accepted into this exhibition.
  • NAWA is not responsible for Copyright protection for images submitted to this exhibition. Copyright protection of images is the responsibility of the artist.

September 17-21, 2018 - Delivery of work to the Lord & Andra Gallery, 10am - 4pm

October 1, 2018 - October 25, 2018 - Exhibition dates.

October 26 - November 2, 2018 - Hand pick-up, 12 - 5:00 pm. Shipped works sent ASAP.

Eligible Work

  • Exhibition is open to all NAWA regular current members (not open to Associate or Student members).
  • Maximum size for 2-D wall works INCLUDING frame: Height 42" x Width 42" (no exceptions).
  • Free standing sculpture will be accepted, but artists must supply the pedestal. Max. height 72” including the pedestal x 12” wide x 12” deep.
  • Metal or wood frames preferred.
  • No ceiling hung artworks will be accepted.
  • No sawtooth hangers. All works must be wired to gallery standards and must meet professional
  • Plexiglass required for all works on paper. Exception: pastels can be framed under glass.
  • Accepted works cannot be substituted and must be available for the duration of the exhibition.
  • All works MUST be original - no reproductions or giclee prints.
  • Do not photograph your work in frames.

Image Specifications

All images must be high quality jpeg (jpg) image files. Set your camera to the highest possible quality image, use good lighting on your painting without any glass in front of it, and use a tripod for your camera. You must crop out all parts of the photo that are not the actual painting; do not show mat, frame, etc, only the painting itself. Please save at 72 dpi resolution, with a size of 1200 to 1500 pixels on the longer side of the image. The upload system will not accept very large files, so you must reduce the native image size to these specifications.

Filename Instructions

Name your image files

Use the following protocol for giving your image file a name for submission: Start with your last name, followed by an underscore, followed by your first initial, followed by another underscore, then the title of the image without spaces, then make sure it has the extension ".jpg".

For example: Carson_R_SilentSpring.jpg.

Shorten long titles in the filename, please, and remove all spaces and quotation marks. Keep the filename shorter than 50 characters.

On the entry form in the box for Title do enter the actual title of the piece as you would want it to appear in the show catalogue.

For example: Silent Spring

Fee Structure

Online submission deadline is August 28, 2018

Open to current regular NAWA members ONLY.

Fee for current NAWA members:
1 - 2 images $40.00, add a third image for another $5.00

Entry fees will be paid online by credit or debit card or by PayPal account.

Accepted Artists will be listed on the NAWA Facebook page: (www.facebook.com/theNAWA), on www.NAWAonlinegallery.org and www.thenawa.org.

Sales

All accepted artwork shall be offered for sale. A commission of 25% of the sales price shall be retained by NAWA and 25% by Lord & Andra Gallery. Prices shall remain fixed, and any pieces sold shall remain in the exhibit until final close of show.
